Wet on Wet|Watercolor Technique

It's my day to share a technique with you over on the Oddball Art Stamps Blog. Be sure to check out the technique a week post here.

I will show you how to create a simple, abstract, colorful and quick background with the wet on wet watercolor technique.
This is a easy way to get amazing results quick!

First off, I lost my original footage, soooo I show a few wet on wet ideas. My ATC above was made using Brea Reese Glitter Inks (Violet, ultramarine blue and ocean green)

Supplies needed:

  • Brea Reese Watercolor or Glitter Inks of your choice
  • Watercolor paper
  • Water
  • Brush
  1. "Paint" the paper with water
  2. Add Brea Reese Inks to your wet paper either by dripping directly from the bottle or with a brush
  3. Watch the magic happen

You can watch my short process video here. A couple of pics below show other wet on wet watercolor projects.

Oddball Art Stamps used in the projects above are listed below. You can use the code DTSTEPHANIE10 to save 10%!
