This week I thought we could revisit some holiday themed Vera Lane Studio digistamp sets.
Tree Gal on 4×6 watercolor paper is definitely ready for Christmas! She has quickly became one of my holiday favorites! Her expression and that amazing head full of tree hair…or is it a hat? And she’s a FAIRY!!! I love fairies! I painted her with Brea Reese Glitter Inks. She has a friend in the same set named Countdown that will probably show up here sometime in December.
This warm toned beauty above is part of the Oaxacan Angels digistamp set. I normally work with much cooler colors but truly enjoyed all the warm tones in this beauty. She will warm the heart of whoever receives her. She is painted with Brea Reese Glitter Inks and accented with a white gel pen. I added some fun art fibers for the tassel.
December, this classy candy cane inspired cutie is decked out in her holiday best and ready to celebrate. She is a member of the Vera Lane Studio Birthday Club Collection. The trees are from the Tree Lot set. There are 11 trees in that set! 11! So many ways to mix and match them up with other Vera Lane Studio digis! I kept this 4×6 card pretty simple and felt the white space was perfect for a snow scene. Just a little silver glitter shadow under the trees and December to give the illusion of snow 🙂 This card was painted with Brea Reese inks as well.
I hope you enjoyed traveling back in time with Vera Lane Studio digis today. I know I did. I love VLS and can’t wait to share more goodies next week!
Until next time…
Today I’m gonna show you how to transfer an image to a premade ornament.
- Premade unfinished ceramic ornament (I bought mine at Hobby Lobby)
- Laser Printer (this is a must)
- QOR Watercolor Ground
- AD Marker Blender Pen
- Oddball Art Stamps A Christmas Wish Image #408
- Watercolor Inks or Paint – I use Brea Reese Glitter Inks
- Various Art Fibers or Ribbon for hanging
Allow to dry completely. Sometimes takes up to 24 hours.
Allow transferred image to dry completely before moving to step 5.
You may want to spray with a fixative and add a clear coat to protect the ornament. I added some white accents with Uniball Signo white gel pen. Add ribbon and display.
Hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial. Check back next week for more watercolor goodness!

Today being my favorite day of the year I wanted to share another Halloween ATC I made featuring Vera Lane Studio’s revamped vintage digistamp set Stella Luna. The cat in this set has such an awesome personality!!!
They are painted with some of my favorite shades of glitter ink by Brea Reese I used lake blue, medium magenta, ocean green, gold and violet. Her skin tone is a mixture of raw umber and neutral grey with a touch of pink.
The background was created using two different designs of printable digital papers by Papercakes by Serena Bee. I combined both sets October Nights & Spooky Pastel. They are printed on metallic paper by Neenah. I finished the ATC by adding a few pieces of Halloween confetti and handwritten “witchy” sign.
Come play on the Vera Lane Studio Facebook group!
